Director of Clinical Services - Private Surgical Hospital Lancaster, Lancashire Up to £80,000 Per Annum + Bonus 33 Days' Annual Leave, Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Free Parking Overview Compass Associates are excited to working with a small private surgical hospital in Lancaster, on the search for their next Director of Clinical Services. This 25 bedded hospital is a recognised surgical specialist in a range of procedures - including orthopaedic surgery, dermatology, general surgery and gynaecology procedure. The hospital has 1 theatres, one ward with their ensuite inpatient rooms, consultation rooms, onsite pharmacy, an outpatient, imaging and physiotherapy . Joining an already well-established and supportive team, this is a fantastic chance for any clinical manager to lead a workforce who are passionate about delivering an outstanding service. The Role / Candidate You will oversee the clinical functioning of the hospital - being the person to implement change, oversee clinical governance and lead from the front. You will have a track record of achievement in managing, leading and developing a team within the private sector or NHS. You'll bring proven experience of line managing and leading clinical teams and services, as well as an in depth knowledge of the health care regulatory agenda and mechanisms. You know how to stabilise teams, reengage and recognise them, driving standards of care and a passion for health. You will be working alongside the Hospital Director to ensure all clinical aspects of the running of the hospital are in line with modern guidelines and CQC. Particularly important will be your ability to quickly understand the clinical challenges facing the hospital, and build excellent relationships with consultants and external bodies. Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role in the independent sector / NHS
  • Registered Manager required
  • Must be a medical professional - RGN, Radiographer, Physio, etc.
  • NMC or HCPC registered
  • Strong clinical governance knowledge
  • Preferably someone who has led a CQC inspection
  • Candidate need to be a strong people leader
  • Ability to engage well with Staff and Consultants
  • Commercial - Experience managing budgets
Salary & Benefits
  • There is a salary on offer of up to £80,000pa .
  • This is dependent on experience and means that there could be some discussions regarding salary for outstanding candidates
