About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Director to join our operational management team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and operational delivery of high-quality, patient-focused services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership and line management for all staff
  • Coordinate work to improve services and drive forward an existing improvement agenda
  • Lead the delivery of performance targets in the NHS plan to improve access to, and quality of patient services
  • Liaise with various improvement programmes and develop, test, and implement new ways of working to improve patient services
  • Develop and implement strategies to tackle staff shortages and increase job satisfaction

We operate from three main hospitals and a number of community healthcare premises, providing high-quality care, advice, and support to our patients. Our aim is to work with people to help them remain independent, improve their health, and manage their conditions.

Requirements
  • Current leadership and management experience in a clinical service
  • Recent line management responsibility
  • Degree in clinical specialty/management or equivalent experience
  • Postgraduate management/leadership qualification or willingness to undertake a postgraduate certificate in management/leadership
Desirable Qualifications
  • Attendance of the NHS Leading Empowered Organisations course
