To build a more agile and resilient Supply Chain the commoditized execution and digitalisation of processes is a key focus whilst driving operational excellence.

The commercial team is responsible for the end-to-end management of all procurement activities within the South African region, including Regional Category Management, Sourcing & Contracts, Project Procurement and Purchasing. The team works with regional business and Supply Chain stakeholders to implement and manage performance of contracts and suppliers, grow the host community supply base and ensure effective supply of goods and services required for operations.

The purchasing team is responsible for the allocation of Source-of-Supply to purchasing requests, using a combination of automation andmanualmethods; management of the end-to-end transactional execution of Purchase Orders, driving for ontime delivery of goods and service; delivering ongoing improvement inPurchasing to maximize first timeright orders, improving user experience, reduce cycle timewhile maintaining appropriate risk andcompliance in the end-to-end process.

Job Description :

General 

Adhere totherelevant Supply Chain strategy and ensure that critical tasks,performance targets, plans and budgets are adhered to with due consideration ofriskidentification 

Embrace an agile Supply Chain by being adaptive and flexible to accommodate and focus on emerging and changing businesspriorities 

Supply Chain Strategy, Critical Tasks, Targets 

Provide administrative support with regards to estimations, purchase orders, warranty claims etc 

Purchasing Excellence & Automation 

Provide administrative support with regards to estimations, purchase orders, warranty claims etc 

Stakeholder Engagement 

Provide administrative support with regards to estimations, purchase orders, warranty claims etc 

Sustainability & Social 

Provide administrative support with the implementation ofsustainable valuecreationstrategies, initiativesand associated business cases, that advance Anglo American technical, community, sustainability, and financial ambitions

Communities & Inclusive Procurement 

Support the teamtoidentifysupplierdevelopmentneedsandopportunities, and provide input into thedevelopment ofsolutions 

People & Teams

Drive own performance management and personal learning

EmbraceaSupply Chain team cultureofdiversityandinclusiveness

Support cross functional team interactions with internal stakeholders

Governance & Compliance

Ensure personal and team compliance to internal Anglo American and Supply Chain Governance requirements pertaining to all Physical Supply ChainManagement activities

Qualifications :

Qualification: An undergraduate qualification - Bachelor degree level or equivalent, alternatively relevant tertiary qualification and proven track record of practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity 

Desirable: Practical experience in relevant field or a role of similar context and complexity
