Project Engineer, Commercial Division

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Sales and Project Management team with customer enquiries, quotations and project documentation. This is a exciting opportunity to be part of a high growth international group, with a top end brand of Watermist Fire Suppression. The position will be varied and opens to a range of personal growth and career possibilities. Ultra Fog will provide full training, but if you have some knowledge of the fire suppression market or watermist systems, it would be an advantage. This candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion. Some international travel will be required and candidates should be prepared to be office based for at least 2-3 days/week.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of bids, including reviewing technical specifications an on-site surveys
- Interpret building and industrial application design plans, in order to design fire systems according to local regulations
- Become familiar with the standards and norms governing watermist fire suppression
- Prepare AutoCad layout drawings, hydraulic calculations and bill of materials.
- Provide technical assistance to the Sales Manager and Project Management team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 1 - 3 years' of experience as a project coordination, project engineer, or project manager
- Skills in AutoCad (minimum 2D) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards (an advantage)
- Excellent spoken & written English
- Able and willing to travel within EU and USA
