Type: Full-time (hybrid)


Our client, a leading provider of microscope solutions, is seeking a talented Project Buyer to join their global Supply Chain Management (SCM) team. As a member of the SCM team, you will play a crucial role in creating a competitive advantage for our client by working closely with internal partners and external organisations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand, challenge, and shape the roadmap of the assigned product line regarding buying market-relevant aspects.
  • Create and implement an integrated project supply chain strategy in alignment with internal partners.
  • Actively participate in project and product line steering committees.
  • Coordinate an efficient information flow between external and internal partners.
  • Negotiate procurement conditions and contracts.
  • Perform dynamic problem analysis, develop structured solutions, and make fast decisions, including effective escalation management.
  • Manage the full scope of Supply-Chain-processes, including SAP-based RFQs and purchase orders, track order confirmations, and secure material availability.
  • Own the Engineering Change Management of assigned product lines and projects.


Skills and Experience:

  • Interest in understanding high-technology and creating customer-oriented solutions.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organised, disciplined, and structured individual.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Procurement, and/or Project Management.
  • Efficient in managing large amounts of data, excellent in summarising and presenting content in a dynamic organisation.
  • Advanced knowledge in SAP and Microsoft Office package.
