Staffline Recruitment are seeking an Environmental Health Officer for an initial short-term temporary contract with a prominent public sector client in the Derry/Strabane area. This role plays a vital part in delivering a variety of services within the Health and Community Wellbeing section, ensuring compliance with performance and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of commercial and domestic premises.
- Investigate complaints and enforce relevant statutory provisions.
- Provide expert advice and make recommendations to public, commercial, and governmental organisations on a wide range of health and environmental issues.
- Collaborate closely with the Principal Environmental Health Officer.
The successful candidate may work across various core service areas within Health and Community Wellbeing, including Health Promotion, Food Control, Port Health, Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, Pollution Control, Public Health, Consumer Protection, Licensing, Dog Control, and Housing.
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in Environmental Health.
- A minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience.
- Availability for an immediate start.
