Blackfox Solutions are delighted to be working with a Civil Engineering & Construction company, based near Maghera, Northern Ireland. This company provides engineering solutions for large-scale commercial and public sector projects across the UK and Ireland. They are currently seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Complete regular inspections and audits and close out associated actions.
- Create and maintain accurate records on site including management plans, risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments etc.
- Maintain and develop the companies Integrated Management System in preparation for annual ISO audits.
- Conducting non-conformance, incident and near miss investigations.
- Perform supplier and sub-contractor reviews.
- Monitor plant and equipment maintenance and use.
- Carry out and plan staff health assessments.
- Promote the companies SHEQ culture through leading by example, organising staff training, completing regular Toolbox Talks, implementing policies and procedures etc.
- Liaising with the public, clients and other project stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in a similar SHEQ role
- NEBOSH certification or an IOSH accredited degree e.g. Environmental Health
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to promote SHEQ
