Vertiv is looking for a skilled Occupational Health Officer to join our team in Northern Ireland. This role will involve working closely with the EHS Manager and Senior Management team to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Job Description

This is a site-based position that requires the ability to conduct regular site audits, promote a culture of safety first, and ensure compliance with ISO 45001. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, be NEBOSH certified, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct regular site audits to identify potential hazards and communicate findings to site management.
  2. Promote a culture of safety first, raising awareness about hazard identification and the importance of correct PPE usage.
  3. Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and manage documentation effectively.
  4. Support the Production Supervisor in identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance team performance.
  5. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within production areas.
  6. Develop an audit process and schedule tailored to the site's needs.
  7. Communicate changes to operating instructions to all Team Leaders.
  8. Collaborate with the production supervisor, manager, and project engineers to ensure deadlines are met while adhering to H&S procedures.
Requirements
  1. NEBOSH Certified or Higher with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  2. Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  3. Accuracy and consistency in work.
  4. Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  5. Experience in a predominantly site-based role (desirable).
  6. NEBOSH Diploma/Degree qualified (desirable).

Estimated Salary Range

£40,000 - £55,000 per annum, based on experience.
