Our client is a leading provider of IT Support Solutions within a range of sectors. Established, hugely successful and well respected. Growing quickly, they are an ambitious and entrepreneurial business. Due to growth we are looking for an experienced 2nd line IT support engineer we are looking for someone that has experience of working onsite with clients, great communication skills as well as the technical IT support engineer knowledge. The company are superb to work for and provide a great environment and culture with fantastic training and development opportunities. Ideally we would like someone who has the technical capability to develop into a 3rd line role and learn to deal with more complex problems.
Main Responsibilities as 2nd line
- Providing a planned and reactive service to your corporate clients across all of their IT Support needs
- Installing, maintaining a range of software, hardware and accessories
- Maintaining and developing excellent client relationships
- Handling all technical IT support problems and issues that may arise
- Supporting the 1st line team and providing guidance
- Working with the 3rd line team on escalated incidents
- Visiting client sites when necessary
Main Skills
- A background in 2nd line IT support, ideally with ambitions to progress to 3rd line
- Corporate experience
- Possess great communication skills and an ability to build client relationships effectively
- Technical knowledge of:
- Windows Server 2008 – 2016
- Assisting with managing Active Directory environments and using Group Policy in an environment of 30+ devices
- DNS, DHCP, and the TCP/IP suite
- WDS, MDT, or other imaging tools (both creating and deploying images)
- Windows 7 – 10
- Office 365
