Job Title: Senior eCommerce Specialist / Manager (Contract)

Location: Hybrid / UK-Based with German Market Focus

Rate: Negotiable DOE

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior eCommerce Specialist/Manager to lead our German market expansion project. This role is ideal for someone fluent in German with strong experience in Shopify, digital marketing (especially Meta Ads), and a deep understanding of the German eCommerce landscape. You'll work cross-functionally with internal teams to localise and scale our eCommerce presence in Germany, driving growth and optimising performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the go-to-market strategy and execution for the German eCommerce launch
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across marketing, product, logistics, and customer service to ensure alignment
  • Manage and optimise the Shopify storefront for the German market, ensuring best-in-class UX and localisation
  • Plan, launch, and optimise paid campaigns across Meta Ads and other relevant digital channels
  • Analyse performance data and provide actionable insights to improve conversion, customer acquisition, and ROI
  • Stay up to date with market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity in Germany and the wider EU
  • Identify and implement opportunities for growth and operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Fluent/native German speaker, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience managing DTC eCommerce in the German market
  • Strong knowledge of Shopify, Meta Ads, and performance marketing strategies
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in analytics tools and A/B testing
  • Solid understanding of local eCommerce regulations, consumer expectations, and digital trends
  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing stakeholders at various levels
  • EU market knowledge is a plus
