About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Recipe Developer with a deep passion for food and an extensive background in crafting recipes that cater to a diverse range of tastes and cuisines. This role requires a chef who is not only skilled in high-end fine dining but also comfortable creating simple, family-friendly meals. You must have a thorough understanding of various cooking techniques and flavour profiles, with a particular emphasis on plant-based cuisine.


Key Responsibilities

  • Recipe Development: Create innovative and delicious recipes that appeal to a broad audience, with a focus on plant-based ingredients and a multitude of cuisines.
  • Recipe Writing: Write clear, engaging recipes in the BOSH house style for our social media channels and website, reaching and inspiring a global audience.
  • Food Styling & Preparation: Demonstrate exceptional food styling skills, ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard.
  • Shoot Day Preparation: Prepare all aspects of food on shoot days including ingredient preparation, portioning, and dish substitutes.
  • Studio & Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient test kitchen and shoot studio, ensuring all spaces are well-managed.
  • Ingredient Management: Efficiently order ingredients, adhering to budget constraints to minimise waste and control costs.
  • Digital Literacy: Use Google Sheets, Google Docs, and other online tools like ClickUp to manage tasks and projects. Ensure clear and consistent communication across digital platforms.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the creative team, contributing ideas and collaborating effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client Interaction: Represent BOSH professionally, particularly in client-facing situations, where maintaining a polished and personable demeanour is essential.
  • Social Media Savvy: Stay updated on current trends in social media and food content, understanding the digital landscape and its impact on recipe development.
  • Environmental Awareness: Demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and ethical eating practices, aligning with BOSH’s values and mission.




Qualifications & Attributes

  • Extensive experience in recipe development, with a strong portfolio of work across various cuisines and cooking styles.
  • A creative eye for food styling and a methodical approach to food preparation.
  • Knowledge and experience in plant-based cooking, with a passion for creating delicious vegan dishes.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with a meticulous approach to managing kitchen spaces and ingredients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English and digital tools.
  • A team player who thrives under pressure, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work flexibly, with occasional early starts and late finishes as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • A clean social media presence, with an understanding of BOSH’s social media guidelines for employees.
