What we are looking for

This role would be ideal for a Development Chef who is ready to step up. As a Senior Development Chef you will craft some of our delicious, healthy recipes using premium sustainably sourced ingredient working cross-functionally with our buying team to secure the freshest and in-season ingredients as well as our marketing teams on our recipe writing style-guide.

You are

  • An experienced development chef with a track record of recipe creation, development, and writing.

  • Proficient in the editorial aspects of recipe development, including proofreading and food styling.

  • Exceptionally organised, adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Meticulous, with an eye for detail.

  • A team player with demonstrable ability to collaborate effectively across departments internally and externally

  • A culinary enthusiast with a passion for food and a creative mindset.

  • A skilled communicator comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Capable of providing constructive feedback during group recipe discussions.

  • Experience in product development or new product development (NPD) is advantageous, but not obligatory.

You will

  • Manage the recipe development process, signing-off new & improved recipes

  • Conceptualize, cost, prepare, and document mouthwatering recipes based on briefs and culinary trends

  • Improve and refine existing recipes to enhance quality, taste and customer experience

  • Work closely with our external partners, collaborating with their chefs to design campaign recipes 

  • Present and style dishes for magazine features and promotional campaigns.

  • Support the Food Lead in planning, tracking, and executing recipe development tasks.

  • Manage ingredient inventory in the Mindful Chef development kitchen.

  • Manage kitchen cleanliness and organisation standards.

  • Adhere to weekly team deadlines with precision.

  • Support the Recipe Editor to refine recipe methods and maintain style guidelines.

  • Contribute to the creation of NPD and EPD briefs, managing the ingredient sampling and feedback process
