About the Team

The Partnerships Team at GroupM Investment UK is central to the UK business’s ability to execute effective media campaigns through vital industry partnerships. Our team manages relationships with over 100 different partners, including key contracts with major players like Google, Meta, and Amazon, and leverages these partnerships across all media channels to ensure access to cutting-edge technology and data solutions, optimizing our media investment strategies and innovation capabilities and maximise partner profitability for our market.

About the Role

The Partnership Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Data and Tech Partnerships. This role is crucial for maintaining and expanding our robust network of technology and data partners, supporting the senior leadership across all partnerships management steps: negotiation, contract, vendor onboarding, joint business plan, partner reviews. The manager will be involved in all aspects of partnership management, including ongoing evaluation and strategic alignment with the wider group.

Responsibilities

Support the Sn. Director in the oversight of the partnership lifecycle, including initial engagement, internal stakeholder management for RFIs, negotiation of terms, and ongoing development of the relationship. The manager is also expected to handle escalations and contract renewals/terminations. Ensure all partnership agreements meet GroupM’s standards and requirements, maintain detailed contract calendars, and manage financial operations related to partnerships. Collaborate with product/services, agency and data teams to engage with partners under favorable terms, provide organization level investment view of the supplier and support innovative deal structures, to facilitate the integration of new technologies into GroupM’s service offerings. Work with both local and global investment senior leaders to leverage the best rates and terms, sharing resources and knowledge to improve overall efficiency.

Negotiation skills: Demonstrated ability in securing advantageous partnership terms and managing complex negotiations.

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the digital media landscape, including key technology and data trends.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Communication and collaboration: Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting ideas clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences.

Adaptability and Innovation: Agile in learning new ways of working and adapting to new challenges, with a forward-thinking approach to business and technology trends.

Overall minimum industry experience: 3 years
