Job overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Administration and waiting list manager in the Radiology Department, the post holder will be responsible for monitoring the waiting lists across all sites on a weekly basis to ensure the local and national targets are being met.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will manage a team of staff across 3 sites providing reception, appointments, waiting list and administrative support to the Radiology service and will be responsible for managing all Radiology Waiting Lists, taking action to ensure both local and national targets are met.

The Radiology Department manages waiting lists for multiple modalities across 6 sites. These range from plain film x-rays to complex interventional procedures. The post holder will be expected to oversee the current system and take a lead role in future developments such as centralised booking which requires changes in management and the introduction of new practices and standard operating procedures. Effective management of appointments is vital to the efficient running of the Radiology Department, a patient focused service and the achievement of the 18 week target.
