**Location**:Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Mandeville Rd, Aylesbury HP21 8AL

**Pay Rates**: Day £33.34 per hour

Sat/Nights £43.35 per hour

Sun/Bank Hols £53.35 per hour

**Contract length**:Long Term

**Working Hours: Full Time, 9-5 Monday to Friday
- May be required to work out of hours/weekends from time to time dependant on service needs.**

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Lead on initiatives to motivate and engage the midwifery workforce.
- Analyse and report on national, regional and local data to assist development of targeted and bespoke interventions related to staff experience, retention and talent acquisition.
- Evaluate the induction and orientation packages/programmes for new starters and adapt accordingly, measuring the effectiveness and impact.
- To be the first point of contact for the wider team, in relation to recruitment and retention.
- Supporting exit interviews and developing themes/action plans and identifying areas for improvement which can be discussed with local, regional and national teams/individuals.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

**You’ll have the following qualification/experience**:
**Qualifications**:
**Essential:

- **
- Qualified to degree level of equivalent
- Evidence of continuing professional and ideally post registration experience of 5 years and experience in all areas of the service

**Desirable:

- **
- Masters level or equivalent working experience
- Registered Midwife/Nursing experience

**Knowledge & Experience**:
**Essential:

- **
- Experience and understanding of Workforce Planning, Practice Development frameworks and NHS standards
- Knowledge of national maternity agenda and current issues relating to the NHS
- Demonstrates an ability to find new ways of working and advancing practice
- Coaching and mentoring experience
- Ability to use various social media platforms and software/apps
- Knowledge and understanding of key attraction and retention techniques/approaches
- Able to build strong and influential working relationships at all levels within and outside the organisation when considering recruitment and retention
- Knowledge and understanding of safe staffing levels
- Experience of extensive engagement with various stakeholders
- Experience of utilising social media platforms
- Achieve solutions through negotiation and influencing multi-disciplinary teams.
- An ability to represent the Trust position effectively to external audiences at a senior level.
- Tactically and creatively, and to prioritise work programs in the face of competing demands.

**Desirable:

- Knowledge of workforce planning, modelling and data mining tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of overseas resourcing and recruitment services and practices with experience in leading successful recruitment and retention programmes.
- Formal and informal teaching experience
- Considerable experience of recruitment and partnership working
- Experience in an acute healthcare setting
