Follow us on Instagram @zopalife We're looking for a Financial Modeller to develop and run Zopa’s long term financial models, including credit risk forecasting and stress testing to support Zopa’s growth and scenario planning now and in the future. The successful candidate will join the high performing FP&A team and work closely with Risk, Finance and Product teams to build and run key financial models to create insightful forecasts that will be used by ExCo, Board and external stakeholders including regulators.

A day in the life:

Design financial models and improve existing models including overall P&L and balance sheet, regulatory capital and product forecasts.  Enhance the structured modelling of credit and other stresses in conjunction with the Bank’s Risk team.  Work with CFO, FP&A Director and other senior stakeholders to develop plans to support equity and other investment, including multiple scenario analysis.  Develop project forecast models to support critical infrastructure, partnership and other investment decisions.  Work with the FP&A team to continue to build out and extract benefit from our financial planning system (Anaplan)  Work with Product and other business teams to develop cost forecast models and reporting and to help support strong business partnering.  Regulatory planning – provide forward planning for capital management and other regulatory requirements, including stress testing and ICAAP design  Improve the efficiency & effectiveness of the FP&A team through a continuous improvement in processes and models. 

About you:

You'll have demonstratable experience in financial modelling / analysis or data analysis including advance Excel, VBA and ideally good SQL and equivalent skills.  A passion for building models and prior experience in bank financial modelling or similar financial services modelling. Especially in modelling IFRS 9 impairment charges. Bonus points for knowledge of banking regulations, capital requirements and IFRS9  Ideally prior experience of using and building models in Anaplan  Excellent analytical skills, highly numerate, with a highly structured approach to solving complex financial problems.  Likely backgrounds would be retail banking, investment banking or management consulting or prior start up experience  You'll be a team player with good collaboration – able to work closely with other finance and business areas, product and technology teams in a flexible way  You'll have excellent written and verbal communication.  #LI-LK1Flexible working?
