We are looking for a Personal Assistant to help care for a 72-year-old lady who is based on the outskirts of Dumfries. Formerly active in arts and crafts, sadly no longer able to be creative, but appreciates and likes to see and discuss.

Successful candidate will be required to assist with all aspects of Personal Care i.e. showering, toileting and prompting with meals and fluids. Administration of medication will also be required in this role.

Support is mainly Monday Friday however, the occasional weekend may also be required.

Requirements

Knowledge and experience of working with medication is preferred but not mandatory as training can be provided for the right candidate. Clean Driving Licence and access to own vehicle is essential. It is desirable that applicants have had previous experience in adult support services or care services, however, specific training can be sourced if the successful applicant has no previous experience in working in adult support services. It is important that the successful candidate/s can work as a team and communicate appropriate information to other PAs and Husband as and when required. Post is subject to a satisfactory PVG. Successful candidate must be willing to cover holidays and sickness also.
