About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Leonard Cheshire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and mealtimes, to promote independence and well-being.
- Escort and assist individuals in and around the service, at external events, and appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Support our Person-Centred approach by encouraging maximum independence and helping individuals achieve their individual aspirations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to ensure effective care planning and delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in care or a related field is desirable but not essential, as we offer an excellent training and induction programme for all new staff members.
- A driving license and car access are beneficial due to the rural location and limited public transport.
