At CMCA Accounting, the client experience is _everything_. We offer a friendly and approachable accounting and advice service, with a huge emphasis on personalisation, and integrity. Established in 2014 we are a small, yet growing business looking for an experienced accountants assistant to look after our clients Payroll, assist with accounts prep and office admin.
- This is part time 15 hours/ week Accountants assistant role.( school hours could be arranged) The pay is £12,000 - £16,000 per year _(depending on experience) _

The possible down sides?
- This is an in office in-person position, location: Dumfries Town.
- Must have 3 years + in relevant practice experience of similar.

What are the requirements?

To deliver excellent client service, which puts genuine matches at the heart of everything you do. Removing Carole from the monthly payroll process, so she can work directly with clients.

Key tasks include:

- This position's primary focus is to liase with business for their payroll information and submit information accurately. To be on hand with business holiday or pay questions.
- You’ll be responsible for 35+ number of clients Payrolls
- Drafting financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies from the books and records provided, ready for review by the accounts manager
- Completing draft tax computations ready for review
- Preparing VAT returns & book keeping for clients
- Liaising with clients to obtain relevant information
- Answering phone calls in the office and the office inbox.
- Liaising with part time bookkeeper and preparing information as needed.
- Providing ad hoc support to the owner.
- Setting up clients from initial meeting organisation, through to in person meetings (as Owner requires)Updating all records and documents as you go.
- Client communication, weekly or monthly outreach ensuring that all clients are fully informed with the process and next steps regarding their experience.
- Create and update relevant SOP’s when required
- Experience in Sage, IRIS and Xero accounting packages and payroll would be helpful but
- not essential

In summary, a job well done for you is looking after the little (and big things) that need doing, so that clients feel confident and supported in the service being received. You have a ‘can-do’ attitude, willing to step up and get the job done in an efficient and effective manner. Whilst there is flexibility and freedom in the role, trust, professionalism and punctuality are key. We do want an intelligent, friendly, positive individual who is passionate and experienced in this type of work.

This is a part time Accountant’s assistant role. The pay is between £12,000 - £16,000 for 15 hours per week.
