The opportunity

We're on the hunt for an experienced fundraiser to become a part of our growing Foundation team here at The Openwork Partnership. Armed with exceptional communication skills and a sharp eye for identifying fundraising prospects, you'll be instrumental in forging new relationships and steering successful fundraising drives.

Your mission will involve orchestrating a variety of fresh events across the UK, aimed at our robust network of 8,000 colleagues and partners. Your efforts will not only boost engagement but also propel the Openwork Foundation's annual income to surpass the £1 million mark. This is an 18 month fixed term hybrid role, based 2 days a week in our Swindon office, however travel to events is required. What we offer: Salary - up to £35,000
Bonus scheme - on target bonus -7.5%
Pension scheme - contribute up to 5% of your salary and Openwork will match you and put in an extra 5%
Critical illness cover
Income protection - 1x salary
Death in service - 4x salary
25 days holiday + bank holidays, with the opportunity to buy up to an additional 10 days
A range of other flexible benefits to include private medical insurance, dental insurance and much more. What you'll be doing: Creating a range of new events around the UK which will increase engagement and income for the Openwork Foundation
Production of materials, how to guides and case studies to empower success and provide a larger scale of delivery
Maintaining our existing events, working to refresh and energise them further 
Help create a UK volunteer network who can deliver fundraising events and promote awareness of our Foundation 
Supporting our charitable Foundation to be a core part of business culture and shared values
Supporting the wider charitable Foundation team
Responsible for all project budgets and risk management from inception to completion

What will you need to succeed?

Proven experience in arranging and delivery of accessible and inclusive fundraising events, including securing prizes and leveraging pro-bono support Demonstrable success in building and maintaining successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders including suppliers.
Proven ability to balance competing priorities whilst managing multiple tasks and planning large events
Experience of supporting others to run events at a local level, establishing a best practice for them to follow
Experience of operating in the corporate events space Aware of industry regulations in terms of health and safety awareness and risk assessments
Aware of running events in a sustainable way
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Exceptional communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to influence Ability to motivate colleagues and volunteers to become involved and want to participate and support with the running of events
Happy to take the initiative and experiment to fund ways of encouraging and inspiring new supporters to the foundation
Flexibility to cover duties outside the ‘normal’ working day
The imagination to develop new and innovative fundraising activities
Excellent interpersonal skills – a collaborator and team player who works well with others, reaching challenging goals often under very tight deadlines.
Effective project management: organisational, project and time management
Passionate, energetic and enthusiastic
Ability to apply a commercial focus to all activities
Experience in tracking success – recording efforts input and results
