You will be a passionate professional, wanting to makea difference to the lives of those FamilyLine works with, whilst beingcommitted to ensuring the highest standards of quality and client experienceare upheld.

You will have proven experience of integrative orperson -centred therapy, supervision and supporting a diverse range ofvolunteers. You will work closely withthe Volunteer Co-ordinator and tier 3 Programme and Development Manager to ensurethat service users get the right help as soon as possible and provide highquality clinical supervision for volunteers that enables the safe and effectivedelivery of time limited counselling and person-centred support services.

Reports to: Head of Helpline / T3 Programme and Development Manager

Brief Description of FamilyActions FamilyLine Service:

FamilyLine is a national support service providing information,guidance and support to any family member over the age of 18 on any familyissue. At FamilyLine we use a team ofboth trained volunteers and staff members with knowledge and experience offamily issues to support service users via telephone, text and email. We provide a listening ear, answer particularparenting questions or help with guidance around more complex familyissues. We also provide longer-termsupport through regular sessions with our befrienders and counsellors (Tier 3 service).

Purpose of the Services tobe provided by the Clinical Supervisor:

Working in partnership with theVolunteer Coordinator and T3 Programme and Development Manager to ensure thatservice users get the right help as soon as possible. To be responsible for triage of referrals andundertake assessment of service users with complex and varied needs.

To provide excellent qualityclinical group supervision to volunteers who are undertaking practice in theservice. Utilising extensive experience and own practice to develop volunteersskills, knowledge and practice in maximising positive outcomes for adultclients.

Role Responsibilities:

1.Provide excellentquality clinical group supervision with volunteers who are undertaking workwith adults in line with BACP / UKCP / NCPS / BPC Code of Ethics and Practicefor Supervisors.

2.Through clinicalgroup supervision, support volunteers to develop their skills, knowledge andpractice in time limited counselling and support.

3.Provide highquality supervision and feedback reports as agreed with the Tier 3 Programmeand Development Manager / Head of Helpline.

4.To be responsiblefor triage of referrals and undertake assessment of service users with complexand varied needs. Working inpartnership with the Volunteer Coordinator and T3 Programme and Development Managerto ensure that service users get timely and appropriate support.

5.Experience ofsystemic working and work with marginalised groups specifically BAME, LGBTQI+,people with disabilities and those whom have experienced trauma

6.Comply withFamily Actions Safeguarding Policies and Procedures (these will be shared withthe Clinical Supervisor).

7.A positive dutyto report safeguarding or performance / ethical issues, for example fitness topractice concerns, openly with management in a timely manner.

8.Contribute tovolunteers annual appraisal and performance objectives as required, forexample, provide input / reports on learning, practice development, strengthsand development areas.

9.Provide FamilyLinemanagement team with brief record of clinical supervision sessions and serviceusers discussed, and any safeguarding concerns.

10.Abilityto work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the service and supportvolunteers

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

Education, qualifications and background Educated to post graduate level with a recognised professional Counselling/Psychotherapy/ Clinical Psychology qualification. In addition, registered with relevant professional body and evidence of a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, including having or working towards a supervision qualification. Minimum 3 years post qualification experience as a counsellor/psychotherapist with significant evidence of working with adults with mild- moderate mental health and psychosocial issues and providing outcome focussed interventions that support resilience and/or recovery. Understanding of or direct experience in trauma informed practice. Experience of supporting services which work successfully to deliver positive outcomes for service users Experience of supervising, managing, developing staff skills and knowledge and leading a diverse range of staff including supervision of volunteers. Knowledge of the code of ethics of their professional body . Abilities and skills A dynamic and enthusiastic approach, creative and solution-focussed to respond to a rapidly changing culture and environment. This includes experience of change management, bringing others along with you. Success in developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships. Experience of providing professional advice and guidance to other professionals, including at a strategic and management level, to influence the future direction of services. Excellent organisation, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize own and others workloads, managing multiple and competing priorities whilst meeting strict deadlines and maintaining accuracy. Excellent IT skills, including experience and practice of case management information systems. Ability to provide critical analysis of information and quality management oversight of all work undertaken. Excellent knowledge and understanding of risk management, safeguarding procedures for adults and children plus working knowledge of Working Together to Safeguard Children, The Care Act and Mental Capacity Act. Proven ability work in accordance with local and organisational safeguarding policies and procedures. Evidence of self-directed learning and professional development and willingness to engage reflectively in own practice for example in line management supervision, annual performance review, clinical supervision, training etc. Ability to work flexibly to ensure that volunteers supporting the service are supported.
