Main duties of the job

We are looking for a senior staff nurse to Join our team in the Emergency Portal at The Cancer centre.

You must have a passion for acute nursing and be able to demonstrate good knowledge of Oncological and Haematological emergencies.

The possession of the SACT passport is essential.

The ideal candidate will have considerable clinical skills and be enthusiastic to develop their knowledge further to ensure a high standard of care is given to every patient in our care .

You must be familiar with the UKONS triage tool

Good understanding of effective patient flow with other emergency portals in the Trust

Job description

Job responsibilities

We are looking for a self motivated nurse , who can work efficiently and efffectivley in a busy environment , you must be able to lead on change .

You will have excellent skills assessing patients and it would be an advantage to have the Physical Health Assessment course

You must work well within a team and be an excellent communicator within your own team and also with other teams within the trust .

This is a secondment post for 6 months
