Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a clinical leader, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and healthcare professionals to ensure a caring and sensitive approach to patient care.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills in difficult situations and provide clear and concise patient handovers to other team members.
- Evaluate patient conditions and escalate concerns to senior nursing team members and medical staff, initiating referrals to other healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Report Virtual Ward and departmental affairs to the Senior Nurse Coordinator/Practitioner or Advanced Clinical Nurse Practitioner, participating in discussions and ward meetings.
- Promote a positive and professional image of the organization and nursing team.
- Participate in Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and Board Rounds.
- Supervise and assess clinical support workers, prioritizing workload to manage patient care.
- Ensure safe staffing levels on each shift when rostered in charge.
- Conduct digital assessments to support remote monitoring and patient care.
- Deliver holistic patient care, recognizing individual patient needs and those of their relatives.
- Participate in clinical supervision, reflective practice, and teaching and supervision of students, nursing assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of patient conditions.
