Chelmer Village Surgery is looking for a salaried GP to join their busy practice, covering 2 sessions a week on a Friday, usually seeing between 25 - 30 patients.
Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group. The role will include all general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, as well as: Complying with all legislation applicable to practising medicine; Conducting physical examinations, tests or procedures to diagnose patients; Maintaining accurate medical records for all patients; Making recommendations for lifestyle changes to improve the patients’ quality of life; Prescribing medication, treatment or therapy to patients; Explaining test results and medical procedures to patients; Consulting with other Doctors about the specialised needs of some patients; Making appropriate clinical referrals; Completing paperwork and administrative duties; Actively participating in achieving QOF targets; Taking a share in on-call duties. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications: Fully qualified GP with GMC registration; Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate);Be on the NHSE medical performers list. Desirable skills: Joint Injections Family planning and skills, including: Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services; Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date; Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety; Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.
About Us Our team consists of 2 GP partners supported by a salaried GP. We have 1 x paramedic, 2 x practice nurses and 1 x HCA. We also have a variety of support staff from our PCN consisting of social prescribers and pharmacists and we are soon to be joined by a physician associate and a health and wellbeing coach.
The clinical staff are supported by our reception team/secretary/administration clerk and practice manager. We are a SystmOne practice and hold regular clinical meetings, staff meetings and MDT meetings involving our community services.
