An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part time Receptionist, to join our friendly and supportive administrative team at Exmouth Hospital. The hospital is a busy and stimulating place to work and benefits from excellent team working and an innovative Electronic Patient record system.

The post holder will be required to support the Exmouth Community Hospital Team and the effective delivery of services. You must have experience of dealing with the public and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. A good level of IT skills and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team is essential for this role. You will be working with a wide range of people and communicating with both patients and staff therefore empathy and patience is essential.

Duties will predominantly include, amongst other tasks, reception and administrative work for the main hospital and Minor Injury Unit plus other out-patient clinics. Dealing with telephone and face to face enquires from members of the public, daily contact with Clinicians and other professionals, co-ordinating room bookings, dealing with out-patient appointments, inputting patient information onto the Trust electronic patient records; scanning; organising outgoing and incoming post; ordering and receipting stores.

Working Pattern:  hours per week, over 2 days : – : on a rota basis to include one weekend in 4. This is a generic role and you will be required to work additional hours to cover annual leave and sickness in various departments.
