Thisis a hybrid full-time role with 2 day per week spent working in our office in Cowley, Oxford. Pay range for this role is £43,445 to £56,131 per year, dependent on skills and experience.
Main duties of the job
With a new CEO and Director of Income Generation on board, and a new three-year strategy in development, there is considerable potential to develop the major gifts income streams and the Trusts Fundraising programme. You will be responsible for circa £800k income this financial year with the opportunity to develop and grow both income streams.
Your excellent oral and written communication skills will play a key role in personally cultivating and developing relationships with high profile funders and supporters to ensure we are maximising the strategic and financial benefit to Helen & Douglas House. In addition, you will work to maximise donor recruitment, retention and ultimately lifetime value.
To succeed in this role, you will possess strong experience in major donor and/or trust fundraising. You will be experienced in developing and delivering complex income and expenditure budgets, including regular variance reporting and reforecast and planning contingency action. While experience of Donorflex or other similar relational database is preferable, training can be provided.

As part of the IncomeGeneration Directorate, the Senior Manager plays a strategic role in thedevelopment of fundraising at Helen & Douglas House, reporting to the Headof Fundraising and sitting on the fundraising senior leadership team.
We are at a very excitingmoment in Helen & Douglas Houses history with a new CEO and Director ofIncome Generation on board and a new three-year strategy in development. Thisnew strategy will provide the organisation with a strong outward-facingambition and the opportunity to engage more high value donors in our plans.
The Senior PhilanthropyManager will lead the development and delivery of major donor fundraising, themanagement and delivery of the Trusts Fundraising programme and the areas ofwork delivered by the Philanthropy Executive. The role will be responsible forcirca £800k income this financial year with the opportunity to develop and growboth income streams. The area of major gifts has been identified as a keygrowth area and therefore is an organisational priority. The SeniorPhilanthropy Manager will work to maximise donor recruitment, retention andultimately lifetime value.
You will also lead on the charitys work topackage up projects and future ambitions, in line with the charitys strategy,working closely with the Exec Team and service teams to develop their plans into key propositions for funding.

Experience
Essential
Strong experience in major donor and / or trust fundraising. Experience in developing and delivering business and operational plans. Experience in developing and delivering complex income and expenditure budgets, including regular variance reporting and reforecast and planning contingency action. Experience of liaising with and influencing colleagues at all levels and managing suppliers.
Desirable
Experience of using data analysis and supporter insight to support decision making. Experience of Donorflex or other similar relational database. Experience of innovation processes and/or product development.
Knowledge

Strong working knowledge of fundraising legislation and regulations, including GDPR, Fundraising Code of Conduct and Gift Aid.-
