Job summary

We are a unique integrated 0-19 service with a skill mix team of Health visitors, School nurses, Community Staff nurses, Community Nursery nurses, Early start workers, Family Nurse Partnership. We are co-located within the Children Centres.

Children and families are our focus, and we are seeking health visitors to join our dynamic diverse teams. We champion the role of community health professionals to make sure our families get the best care closer to home.

Ealing boasts an impressive range of bars and cafs and restaurants with every possible type of dining experience and taste catered for.

We have Band 6 Health Visiting posts across Ealing. You will be either qualified or currently in training for your Specialist Community Public Health Nurse qualification with a passion for public health nursing seeking to find new ways of working with families. In return we offer preceptorship and supportive inductions, a team buddy and excellent professional development opportunities.

Research and practice initiatives from frontline staff are encouraged and supported and we have an excellent CLCH Academy to support learning and career development, plus membership of IHV and SAPHNA for professional development.

Main duties of the job

We have integrated health visiting team who work closely with Children's Centres and Partners to deliver Best Start for Life. We believe in co-design and family centred care. In return we offer preceptorship and supportive inductions, corporate membership of the iHV and SAPNA, excellent professional development opportunities and access to the CLCH Academy.

Your training and development prospects are always available and encouraged. The team are extremely supportive throughout career. You will be joining friendly well established skill mixed teams, working with HealthVisitor who continually strive to work in partnership with families and early years and maternity services and other voluntary and statutory agencies to provide high quality care to achieve positive outcomes for families in Ealing.

You will be supported by Team Leaders and Specialist Health Visitors and be offer a recruitment and retention package , £2,500 payable upon commencement of employment (T&C's apply).

Registered Nurse / Miwife with current UK NMC registration Registered Health Visitor (SCPHN) Evidence of continuing post-registration education and training Practice assessor/supervisor training or working towards

Experience

Health visiting experience Be able to co-ordinate health promotion initiatives in line with local and national health improvement targets Experience of working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and inter-agency working Experience of organising and managing own workload and that of others Experience in providing practice based learning support to others Experience of supervising staff / students Experience of assessing, planning and implementing programmes of care and writing care plans Experience of evidence based care

Skills and Knowledge

Essential
