Your expertise will provide guidance to the Board of Directors and Trust leadership on healthcare informatics and technology. Lastly, you'll ensure data quality, information governance, and cybersecurity are maintained, taking action as needed.
Main duties of the job
Strategic & Operational Management: Lead information and technology management at Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS FT, overseeing Informatics, IT infrastructure, and Business & Performance teams.
Quality Care Support: Align tech systems for top-notch mental health services, enhancing patient experiences and fostering efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to execute digital plans that align with trust goals, ensuring secure data usage.
Policy Development: Lead policy development and Trust Digital Strategy to meet Department of Health and Social Care requirements.
Partnership Representation: Represent the Trust in ACP and South Yorkshire ICS to support their plans.
Innovation and EPR: Drive innovations for better user experiences, including Electronic Patient Record System (Rio).
Business Planning: Develop aligned business plans, meet targets, and contribute to corporate policies.
Cultural Leadership: Foster a values-based workplace culture and oversee Digital team's growth.
Budget Management: Oversee budgets and IT procurement, collaborating with suppliers.
Expert Guidance: Provide healthcare informatics and tech expertise to the Board and leadership teams.
Assurance & Action: Ensure data quality, governance, and cybersecurity, and act on identified issues.

Essential criteria
Healthcare IT systems and architecture: Knowledgeable about the latest technology solutions, standards and protocols for mental health information management, including electronic patient records systems like RiO Business continuity and disaster recovery planning: Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans, ensuring that critical digital functions are maintained in the event of a disaster. Data privacy and security: Good understanding of data protection legislation, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the importance of ensuring that patient data is kept confidential and secure.
Training and qualifications
Essential criteria
A degree in healthcare, IT, or a related field Professional certifications, such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT). Evidence of ongoing professional development and continuing education
Desirable criteria
Higher level degree in an ICT or technical healthcare related discipline
Experience
Essential criteria
Experience of working within an NHS healthcare provider environment in a senior capacity Experience of strategic planning and Digital strategy development. Senior level IT/Informatics experience. Experience of managing complex IT projects and programmes. Knowledge of project management methodologies and experience managing complex projects is essential.
