Our luxury hotel client isseeking a dynamic and dedicated Deputy General Manager to jointheir senior team near Penrith. The hotel features three bars aterrace a restaurant and hosts numerous weddings eachyear.

This is a highly handson roleideally suited for someone with strong Food and Beverage andweddings experience. The ideal candidate will be someone who isprepared to actively engage with the team and lead by examplerather than merely delegatingtasks.

As Deputy General Manager youwill deputise for the General Manager in his absence and work inall other areas of the hotel to improve productivity food qualityand service and increase volume sales and profits. The successfulDeputy General Manager must be financially astute and commerciallywell informed with a handson attitude to the business. You willunderstand the level of hospitality and service needed to meetthese criteria and assist the General Manager in achieving thisgoal.

Your NewJob

Inspireand lead a team to deliver outstandinghospitality.

  • Assist theGeneral Manager in running a busy hotel including forecastsbudgeting recruitment and supervising day to dayoperation
  • Support the managementteam of the hotel and work with the Heads of Department to achieveand exceed revenue and guest satisfactiontargets.
  • Maintain a constantawareness of department security especially related to cash stockand equipment and to ensure all department procedures are fullyadhered to.
  • Complete any reasonablerequest by senior management and deputise for the Hotel GeneralManager when they are away from thehotel.
  • Work in conjunction with theGeneral Manager to actively manage key property and maintenanceissues (including capital projects; customer service;refurbishment).


Requirements
  • Proactivewith a commercial approach to the business and able to drive thesales and marketing strategy.
  • Aminimum of 2 years experience as a Food and Beverage Manager orDeputy General Manager in the luxury hotelsector.
  • An excellent motivator andleader of people with a good track record of holding a team as youwill be leading a loyal and enthusiastic team of 60 people. Gainingtheir respect is fundamental to thisrole
  • Has the desire and potentialto be a General Manager in thefuture.
  • Naturally friendly andcharismatic.
  • A selfstarter who hasthe capacity to operate with little supervision and is not afraidto lead from the front in a fastpacedenvironment.
  • Possess excellentcommunication skills and have a smart professionaloutlook.

Proactive with a commercial approach to the business and able todrive the sales and marketing strategy.
