As a Registered Manager of this 4 bed Ofsted rated GOOD Complex Care home you will:
• Develop Comprehensive Care Plans : Ensure each young person has a tailored plan that addresses their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
• Develop a great team : Working with the recruitment teams support, bring in the right people for your home. Complete company induction and personal development plans, retaining a strong team to ensure familiar faces for the young people.
• Foster Consultation : Develop systems to consult young people about the care they receive.
• Allocate Key Workers : Assign a Key Worker to each young person to implement their childcare plan.
• Maintain High Standards : Establish and monitor high-quality care standards in line with National Minimum Standards and the Home’s Statement of Purpose.
• Handle Complaints and Concerns : Take responsibility for addressing any complaints or child protection concerns.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders : Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to promote the welfare of young people.
• Participate in Meetings : Attend and contribute to child care planning and review meetings as appropriate.
Essential Requirements and Experience
Relevant Experience : At least 2 years in a position related to residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years. Qualifications : Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months of employment. Knowledge : Understanding of National Minimum Standards, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements. Skills : Efficient in; planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership. Communication : Confidence in effective spoken and written communication. Understanding BESD : Knowledge of the needs of children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, including managing challenging behaviour.
