The successful candidate will have experience in administration of multiple workstreams, will possess a keen eye for detail, have the ability to work on their own initiative, meet deadlines and have the ability to build professional relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

As part of the Strategic Programme for Planned Care we are looking for a Project Administration and Support Officer to join our team to provide administration and project support to the Assistant Directors and Principal Project Managers as well as the wider Team across a range of projects and workstreams.

The post holder will be required to provide efficient and high quality administrative and project support to a wide variety of projects, clinical implementation networks and other identified workstreams; therefore, the successful applicant will have exceptional organisational and communication skills and be capable of working independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.

As well as supporting meetings and producing accurate minutes and action notes, the successful candidate will be working on project related documents and have the opportunity to work with senior managers and clinicians within Health Boards as well as colleagues within Welsh Government.

About us

The Strategic Programme for Planed Care has recently been established as part of the new NHS Executive to support delivery of Wales's planned care recovery programme through a number of projects, all aimed at reducing long waits for our citizens, and transforming the way services are currently being delivered.

The post will be split between the base in either Bocam Park, Pencoed or Wrexham Technology Park, North Wales and home working. There is an expectation that you will work from the office one to two days a week.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience

Experience of working within a demanding/high intensity administrative setting Experience of successful team working

Experience of project management. Experience of working within the NHS or other public sector body.

Able to plan and prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines and deal effectively with conflicting priorities. Proficient in use of standard IT packages eg Microsoft Office with the ability to master new applications.

Advanced IT skills in a range of desktop applications , Excel, Power BI
