Sony UK Technology Centre is a division of Sony Europe Limited. We are the only manufacturing centre for Sony in Europe and at the heart of today’s operation at Pencoed is the manufacture of high technology Broadcast and Professional Cameras and Systems for worldwide markets. **Role Overview**:
Our Sourcing division is looking for a new Sourcing Officer to join the team who will be
responsible for Vendor & Component management. This role will report to the Sourcing
limited to, sourcing new components and suppliers, Bill of Materials costing, liasing with
internal and external customers and supplier management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the new vendor selection process.
- Control sourcing procedures & Vendor agreements.
- Sourcing and obtain quotations from the most appropriate vendors and evaluate these commercially to achieve Quality, Delivery & Cost (QDC) targets.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers via Quarterly Business Review (QBR’s).
- Engineering Change Note (ECN) implementation.
- Parts Control and Scheduling of New Model Introduction.
- Local vendors’ sourcing for electronic, electrical and mechanical parts introduction.
- Support and implement material cost down activities.
- Taking lead role in Supply Chain / Customer engagement.

**Personal Qualities**:
This role requires a team player with the confidence to communicate at all levels within Sony
UK Tec and with external customers and suppliers. You will be given the opportunity to focus
on achieving goals, instigate change, demonstrate drive and ambition, and create and
develop business relationships and processes.
- Ability to carry out detailed work related tasks under mínimal supervision.
- Understanding of Oracle is not a necessity but is desirable.
- Self-motivation and willing to show initiative.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Customer focused.
- Experience in a similar role is not a necessity but highly recommended.
