Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Electrical and/or Mechanical Support professional to join our Facilities Management team. This role requires expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, with responsibilities that include providing helpdesk support, reviewing scheduling operations, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly and efficiently.
Document and track incidents and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
Review ‘in day’ and future scheduling plans of maintenance and repair activities and preventative maintenance tasks
Ensure all scheduled tasks are performed on time and meet quality standards.
Communicate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure smooth operations.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Develop and implement quality control procedures to enhance service delivery.
Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and advancements in technology.
Provide technical training and guidance to junior staff and other team members.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions.
Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and organisational standards.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the organisation.
Collaborate with external certification bodies to achieve and maintain relevant certifications or accreditations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in electrical and/or mechanical systems support within a facilities management environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Proficiency in using helpdesk and scheduling software.
Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills:
Certification in Facilities Management (, IFMA, BIFM).
Experience with safety and compliance standards (, OSHA).
Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS).
