**About the Opportunity**

Jacobs is looking to recruit a Technical Safety Lead to support the growth in the International area of our Strategic Markets business. Successful applicants to the role will lead and oversee technical safety project execution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively. This role can be based at either our Warrington, Bristol, Glasgow office locations.

This business expansion reflects on our success and forward strategy with an enhanced focus on our Japan campaign and could provide an ideal development opportunity, with the chance for international experience. Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering at lead or principal safety engineer level
- Make safety the highest priority with a continued strive towards Zero Harm
- Identify the discipline resourcing needs and ensure the competence of personnel delivering technical safety
- Work with the technical lead to ensure that training plans and succession are aligned to the project requirements
- Ensure that technical safety is coordinated across all projects

**Here’s what you’ll need**:

- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or science degree or demonstrate equivalent underpinning knowledge and understanding
- Shall be proven in the safety lead or principal safety engineer role
- Regulated engineering or technical experience
- Understanding of the effective definition of nuclear facility status, characteristics, and conditions
- Experience of safety case deliverables at the FEED/Preliminary design stage
- Knowledge of nuclear legal and regulatory frameworks
