Are you looking for an interesting and varied role? An opportunity has arisen to join the Point of Care testing team based in the Pathology department at Scunthorpe General Hospital.

We are seeking a flexible, enthusiastic, self-organised and motivated individual to join our team, to help deliver point of care services across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

This post is based in the Point of Care testing laboratory at Scunthorpe General Hospital. The post holder will be expected to liaise with hospital & technical staff and support maintenance of analytical equipment at both Scunthorpe and Goole.

Previous clinical laboratory experience is desirable. Candidates should have good A Levels and/or GCSEs in Science, English and Maths, or be able to demonstrate suitable equivalent training or experience.

You will be required to have good communication and keyboard skills, and the ability to work under pressure. An ability to maintain accurate records and work methodically is essential. Although supervised by Biomedical Scientists, once fully trained, you should be capable of working independently.
