We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Biomedical Assistant to join our team in the Blood Sciences Department at Scunthorpe General Hospital. As a Biomedical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the processing and documentation of samples associated with the Trust R&D programme.
Key Responsibilities- Support the processing and testing/analysis of blood and urine samples using automated equipment and manual processing.
- Assist in data entry and documentation of samples.
- Work independently and flexibly to meet the needs of the team and the Trust R&D programme.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with Biomedical Scientists and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory.
- Good GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science.
- Previous laboratory or NHS experience is desirable.
- Good communication and keyboard skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
