Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Band 7 Paediatric Physiotherapist to join ourIntegrated Therapy Team.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic paediatric physiotherapist who is motivated to work to deliver high quality evidence-based therapy to children and young people.

Your role will require the ability to balance clinical priorities alongside supporting the other band 7 Physiotherapists, team leads and operational leads. You will also actively play a part in the development of the service.

You will hold a mixed clinical caseload working with children and young people (CYP) aged 0-19 years with a range of conditions impacting on their physical development and a Musculoskeletal caseload for children 0-6 years. This will involve working at your clinic base, child's home, education settings. You will work as part of multi-disciplinary teams.

You will be supported by our comprehensive appraisal process, supervision, internal and external training opportunities.

A valid driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle is essential for this post.

Registered member of the chartered society of physiotherapy (CSP) Recognised Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent Health Professions Council Licence to Practice (HCPC) Registration Comprehensive post registration therapy experience working with CYP with a range of needs Evidence of continuing professional development and personal development in working with children

Experience

Clinical experience working with children aged 0-19 years with a variety of complex needs. Clinical experience working with children aged 0-6 years with a variety musculoskeletal condition. Experience of specialist paediatric physiotherapy assessment tools and their application Demonstrates knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic intervention Clinical experience of statutory processes (EHCP, annual review and tribunal processes). Experience and knowledge in managing safeguarding concerns Experience of staff supervision and managing performance of others. Experience of contributing to service developments initiatives Experience of delivering intervention/advice/ training/ attending meetings in person or on a remote platform Clinical experience of working collaboratively with children and their families as part of MDT and multi-agency teams

Specialist knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic interventions for CYP Able to demonstrate empathy, motivate CYP with impaired cognitive or physical disabilities Able to demonstrate knowledge of clinical governance and clinical risk management principles The ability to prioritise & organise own work and monitor delegated work in a skill mix team. Ability to respond flexibly and professionally to unforeseen clinical and non-clinical situations Enthusiastic approach to professional and staff development Ability to write concise notes, reports / referrals to ensure interpretation by the MDT or multiagency team Local Authority to ensure CYP access the appropriate support Demonstrate a knowledge of the statutory/legal requirements for working with children and families and application in practice Specialist knowledge of paediatric physiotherapy and the ability to apply this to identify a CYP therapy needs formulate appropriate treatment plans to aid participation and independence for CYP. Highly developed communication skills to ensure effective liaison with multi-disciplinary team, CYP of different ages and cognitive abilities and their families.
