About the Role


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our team at Buckinghamshire Council.


As a key member of our Locality Social Care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality social work services to children and young people in need of support, protection, and care.


Your primary focus will be on providing statutory and targeted early help services, working closely with parents, carers, and multi-disciplinary professionals to develop support, protection, and care plans that meet the assessed needs of children and young people.


Key Responsibilities



  • Undertaking statutory social work assessments
  • Establishing a rapport and building a relationship with children and young people
  • Monitoring and reviewing the impact of support, protection, and care plans
  • Maintaining all necessary records and documentation

About You


We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual with a recognized social work qualification and active HCPC registration.


As a Child Protection Specialist, you will have demonstrable experience in direct work with vulnerable children and young people, as well as experience working in partnership with parents, carers, and multi-disciplinary professionals.
