About the Company

Buckinghamshire County Council is a local authority dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people. Our Children in Care Team is a dynamic and busy service that provides support and supervision to social workers, senior social workers, and 16+ social workers.

Job Description

This role will involve working closely with the Team Manager to ensure overall supervision, support, and practice of staff meet statutory requirements and provide a safe and effective service. You will be responsible for managing staff, providing guidance and training, and contributing to the development of the team.

Requirements
  • A social work qualification and active HCPC/SWE registration
  • At least three years of post-qualifying experience working within a statutory environment with children
  • Demonstrable experience managing staff and leading teams

The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving the lives of children and young people, have excellent communication and leadership skills, and be able to work collaboratively with colleagues.
