Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Children's Social Care Specialist to join our team in one of our newly created Locality Hubs. As a specialist in children's social care, you will deliver statutory and targeted early help services to children and young people in need of support, protection, and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake statutory social work assessments to identify the needs of children and young people.
  • Establish rapport and build relationships with children and young people to develop effective support plans.
  • Monitor and review the impact of support plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support decision-making and planning.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need a recognised social work qualification, active HCPC registration, and demonstrable experience in direct work with vulnerable children and young people. You should also have experience working in partnership with parents, carers, and multi-disciplinary professionals. A working knowledge of relevant legislative, procedural, and theoretical frameworks for working with children and families is essential.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is ££42,493 per annum (inclusive of market premium of £2,750). In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development and career progression.
