Generic Specialist Practitioner

The Role
As a Band 6 you will need experience in Stroke, As part of a multidisciplinary / multiagency team, the post holder will manage a specialist caseload, using evidence based practice and client centred principles to assess, plan and implement care, provide expert advice and support, operating within a defined specialism across NHS Lanarkshire.
You will contribute to the development and implementation of a programme of clinical audit and research activity. You will also contribute to the supervision, education and development of members of the multidisciplinary team, and you will p rovide effective leadership within scope of role.

What we'll need you to bring
Registered Nurse or AHP with valid NMC / HCPC Registration Educated to Degree Level Post graduate qualification at a minimum of Level 10 (Hons) or working towards Expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills. Effective time management skills Working knowledge of basic information technology A full valid Driving Licence UK/EU/EEA licence
It would be great if you also have
Attainment/working towards relevant degree/equivalent professional qualification. Relevant years post-registration experience. Liaising with statutory and voluntary services. Person centered approach to support embracing the principles of enabling and empowerment.
