An opportunity has arisen for a 6-month fixed term contract Administration Support Clerk in the Overseas Visitors Team.

The Oversea Visitors Team is responsible for identifying patients that may not be entitled to receive free NHS care and recovering the cost of their treatment if necessary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable and hardworking individual with excellent communication and computer skills. You will be self-motivated and have a willingness to learn new skills

The ideal candidate will be based in the Overseas Team office at Maidstone Hospital. However, there will be a requirement for the post holder to be flexible in their working arrangements as they may be required to work at the Trust’s Tunbridge Wells site. A regular, free to use, staff bus runs between the two sites

The position is for 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

Main duties of the job

· To run daily reports on Inpatient and Outpatient activity

· Maintain an Excel spreadsheet based tracking system

· To act as the first point of contact for issues relating to the daily reports run for the Overseas Visitor Team.

· To provide clerical and general administration support.

· To make and receive telephone calls related to the Overseas Visitor Team.

· To undertake training on all aspects of the administration work in the department.

Essential criteria

GCSE Grade 4 and above (or equivalent) in English and Math is essential.

Desirable criteria

Microsoft vendor qualifications Level 2 Business Administration or Customer Service qualification

Experience/ Knowledge

Essential criteria

Experience of working as part of a team and/or multidisciplinary team. Computer literate including recent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and Outlook), e-mail and the Internet
