The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our hotel as a Front Office Team Member. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a memorable and seamless guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, including check-in, check-out, and responding to inquiries
- Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Answer phone calls and emails, take reservations, and manage guest information
- Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, record-keeping, and report generation
- Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure a smooth operation and guest experience

Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and welcoming personality
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with computer systems and software, including reservation and property management systems
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Hotel
5 minutes from the M5 and a short taxi journey from Gloucester train station you will find the Gloucester Hotel, part of the Signature Collection By Best Western. An equal distance from junctions 11A and 12 of the M5, if you’re travelling north or south, we’re only a 5-7-minute drive from the motorway.
The hotel has 95 bedrooms including 6 family rooms, meeting rooms for up to 180 delegates. A Civil Ceremony licence and versatile wedding suite for up to 200 guests. Health club with squash court and beauty treatment area and a swimming pool and children’s pool.
Plus, the hotel is within walking distance of Gloucester Golf Club and Gloucester ski and snowboard centre with one of the UK’s longest ski slopes. And you find miles and miles of cycling routes and beautiful walks in the nearby Cotswolds and Forest of Dean.
