Role Summary:
Shap Blue Quarry, located in the beautiful Eden Valley near the village of Shap, offers a unique blend of rugged natural beauty and practical convenience. Surrounded by stunning fells and close to the Lake District National Park, the quarry provides a tranquil work environment in a picturesque rural setting. We are currently seeking a motivated Quarry Operative to join our team. This role is key to our operations, ensuring the efficient extraction and processing of materials. As part of our dynamic team, you'll contribute to the production of essential construction materials that build communities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain quarry machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure quality control of materials and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Load materials, manage supplies, and maintain cleanliness of the site.
  • Act as a responsible person on site in the manager's absence.
