Long Term Teachers are working with a fantastic multi academy trust in Gloucestershire, who are looking for an enthusiastic HLTA to work at their join their hard working, passionate team. Commencing in September 2024, you will be working up to 35 hours per week 8.30-4.00 Mon-Fri,  39 weeks per year, term time only

 

We are looking to appoint a HLTA to work with our KS4 students at our site in Gloucester. This role will involve PPA cover for teachers and focus primarily on the delivery of some English, Maths and Functional Skills.

 

 

Your main duties will include:

  • Managing the classroom 
  • Running activities 
  • Leading 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Supporting students of all abilities, including those with SEN 
  • Report writing and liaising with SLT on students progress

 

About you:

 

  • Experience working with children, particularly secondary age 
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational skills to assist with lesson planning and classroom management
