**Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Specialist**

**Location: Gloucester, ASD School**

**Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience**

**Contract: Full-time, Temp to Permanent**

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Do you have a strong background in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in our ASD school located in Gloucester.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide high-quality support to students with ASD, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to implement individualized learning plans for students with SEND.
- Lead small group activities and interventions to support the learning needs of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the unique requirements of students with ASD.
- Take on a proactive role in assisting the teacher with lesson planning and preparation.
- Have the opportunity to step up and cover lessons when required, showcasing your leadership skills.

**Requirements**:

- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Strong experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD.
- A thorough understanding of the challenges and best practices in supporting students with ASD.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the students and the school.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities, including covering lessons and providing leadership when required.
