Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Gloucestershire

Long Term Teachers Ltd is partnering with a highly regarded multi-academy trust in Gloucestershire to find an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their committed team.

This full-time, permanent role will commence in the new academic year and involves working up to 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time only.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective classroom management and supervision.
  • Lead engaging activities and learning sessions for KS4 students.
  • Deliver targeted interventions for individual students and small groups.
  • Support students of all abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Collaborate with teachers by providing feedback on student progress and contributing to lesson planning.

About You:

  • You possess proven experience working with secondary school-aged children.
  • You have a strong understanding of special education practices and strategies.
  • You are an excellent communicator, able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • You demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • You possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage classroom routines effectively.
