Rides & Attractions Area Manager - Chessington, London

Location: Chessington World of Adventures Resort Leatherhead Road Chessington Surrey KT9 2NE

Here at Chessington World of Adventures we are recruiting for a Area Manager to join our Rides & Attractions team

In this role you will recruit, lead and develop a small team of three Team Leaders and a seasonal team of around 80 ride hosts and operators working across a range of family themed rides and attractions. Acting as department duty manager and support park manager you will play a crucial part in delivering memorable experiences for our guests.

With Health & Safety your number 1 priority, a typical day will involve, motivating your team and communicating key messages for the day’s operation, this will also include daily assessments of front-line staff performance and job delivery. 

You will be actively supporting your team and so a hands on approach is essential to understand the needs of our guests.

Qualifications & Experience

  • An experienced operator with sound knowledge of managing a large diverse team.
  • An understanding of Chessington’s unique Resort position, product offering and the expectation of our guests.
  • A flexible communication style and keen eye for detail and ideally will come from a similarly fast paced environment.
  • Looking to progress your career within Merlin and this could be the opportunity for you to really get your teeth stuck in and shine.
  • A good understanding of our Key KPI’s and already have ideas of how you could improve our performance and drive customer excellence.
