Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist (Pelvic Floor).

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and autonomous individual who is passionate about Colorectal Pelvic Floor care. You should be able to prioritise and organise your workload, work under pressure and have a commitment to patient centred care.

The successful candidate must have previous experience of pelvic floor dysfunction.

This role will apply specialist skills to assess and treat patients with pelvic floor disorders. They will act as an autonomous practitioner in forming clinical decisions and management plans in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment for patients presenting to the pelvic floor service therefore providing an excellent and safe patient experience.

The post holder will develop and implement Nurse led clinics applicable to the post and specialist to include both new and follow up patients.

This post holder will act as an expert resource for both Nursing and Medical staff by providing advice, support and education through clinical practice evidence-based development.

There will be close liaison and appropriate referral between all relevant departments, the lead clinician and other services, including those provided by Community teams.

Facilitate the planning and delivery of care programmes to address patient needs and develop/improve the service.

The post holder will be a key member of, actively participate in, and work within the guidelines of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, as a key worker for patients under Colorectal Pelvic Floor care.

Working Pattern: hours per week.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2023/24 | NHS Employers).
