Location: Head Office, Witney - Hybrid model, flexible hours

Hours: 21 contracted hours per week

Salary: up to £16,278.40 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join Advance. Advance is a specialist supported housing association that is on an exciting journey to deliver more services and develop more housing for people with learning difficulties, disabilities and supporting people towards greater independent living.

The role of a Payroll Officer will include:

  • Providing good customer service to all customers of the financial function. You will be the first point of contact for the types of transactions types that you work with
  • Ensure that all transactions are processed on a timely basis and produce accurate reporting upon your areas of responsibility, highlighting items which are unexpected.
  • Identify problems and resolve queries within agreed timescales
  • Extract and produce meaningful analysis of the data within the Finance and HR systems
  • Follow current finance regulations and policies and procedures in all areas of your work
  • Contribute to the smooth and effective running of Payroll tasks. The current tasks allocated to this role are as follows but may be varied as and when the business needs requires it
  • To assist the payroll manager in preparing and accurate inputting of relevant information into the payroll system
  • Upkeep of employee personnel records and relevant payroll files
  • Maintain sickness records
  • Assisting with new joiners payroll process
  • Collation and Input of overtime, sleep ins and casual hours
  • To be the principal point of contact for employees on payroll related matters and that any queries raised are resolved quickly
  • Process third party deductions, such as Court Orders and liaise with third party providers as appropriate
  • Ad-hoc administration, filing, posting payslips,P45’s etc
